Job Overview: A law firm in Los Angeles, CA, is seeking a Senior Consumer Financial Services Litigation Associate Attorney with a strong background in complex commercial litigation and experience in defending financial institutions. The ideal candidate will focus on class and regulatory enforcement actions and in-depth knowledge of relevant consumer protection laws.

Duties:

• Represent clients in complex commercial litigation involving consumer financial services.
• Defend financial institutions in class actions and regulatory enforcement actions.
• Conduct legal research and prepare legal briefs, motions, and other documents.
• Advise clients on legal risks and regulatory compliance related to consumer financial services.
• Manage case strategies, including discovery, depositions, and trial preparation.
• Negotiate settlements and draft settlement agreements.
• Stay current with developments in consumer financial services law and regulatory changes.
• Collaborate with other attorneys and legal professionals on case-related matters.

Requirements:

• Minimum of 6 years of experience in complex commercial litigation focusing on consumer financial services.
• Demonstrated experience in defending financial institutions, including handling class actions and regulatory enforcement actions.
• In-depth knowledge of the Truth in Lending Act, Fair Debt Collection Practices Act, Fair Credit Reporting Act, Equal Opportunity Credit Act, and federal and state laws governing unfair, deceptive, and abusive acts and practices.
• Superior academic credentials.
• Strong written and oral communication skills.
• Active Bar license in CO, CA, or PA preferred.

Education:

• Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.

Certifications:

• Admission to the Bar in CO, CA, or PA is preferred.
