Project Specialist
The candidate will provide complex email inquiries from claimants; Reviews and codes documents in actual or potential legal proceedings; Receives training, direction and oversight from project managers and/or outside counsel for each project; Relies on review protocol and instructions details of case that determine processing decisions; May be asked to review documents a second time and process for additional issues; Coordinates mailings using reports and information from multiple data sources; Assigns work tasks to document review team and oversees output; Uses the PSTS to create and monitor reports and system requests; Document types typically include MS Office and email documents, but may also include technical and non-traditional documents; Technical elements of the position will vary by project; Demonstrated ability to follow precise written instructions with accuracy; Experience with advanced Excel functionality.

Qualification and Experience

The candidate must have JD from an accredited US law school or foreign law degree and LLM; Prior document review experience is required; Must have prior experience overseeing and tracking an appeal and/or court review process for a large court supervised settlement program; Must have prior experience using a PSTS system to create and submit requests to multiple internal teams for reports or system updates; Must have prior experience coordinating with an external GIS mapping vendor for complex real property-related issues; Technical or subject matter experience in the areas of real property (title/deed/tax bill review), commercial fishing documentation review (trip tickets, licensing, and logs), vessel and other personal property damage, and loss of subsistence location verification is required; Must have prior experience writing and/or training team members on written procedures; Must have prior experience navigating and maintaining documents on an sFTP drop site for external vendor and client communication.
