Senior Intellectual Property Paralegal The candidate will participate in and/or lead a variety of legal projects as directed. Will support patent and trademark clearances, infringement reviews, filing documents at the USPTO, and IP portfolio analysis. Manage/prepare communications and document transmissions with outside counsel. Proactively review technical papers and other marketing material for appropriate use of intellectual property and content. Review and process invoices and budget tracking. Prepare correspondence, presentations, and other documents, as well as schedule meetings. Assist in IP compliance investigations and litigation matters. Proficient in preparing litigation case materials, create privilege logs, cite-check, perform pre-trial preparation. Draft Statements of Work and manage documentation related to Government contracts. Perform other tasks and duties as assigned. BA/BS or MA/MS degree is needed. Should have 3-10 years of experience. Paralegal certification is preferred. Paralegal certification is preferred. BS/BA or MS/MA is required. Should have 6-10 years of work experience may be considered in lieu of degree. Should have 3+ years of experience in paralegal duties with an emphasis on intellectual property, and familiarity with Patent and Trademark laws and USPTO Rules of Practice. Must have experience to support Federal Government’s intellectual property portfolio consisting of invention disclosures, pending, filed, or issued patents, trademarks, licenses, CRADAs, and other intellectual property agreements. Must also be able to demonstrate strong experience with PCs and various software programs, including Microsoft Word, Power Point and Excel; ability to maintain utmost discretion and manage confidential information. Should possess excellent interpersonal and communications skills, organization skills and ability to work on multiple projects at once, meet deadlines, and ability to work in a fast paced environment. English fluency is needed.
