Job Overview: A law firm in Minneapolis, MN is seeking an experienced Real Estate Attorney to join their team. The ideal candidate will have at least 5 years of experience, with a preference for experience in renewable energy development, railroad real estate, or telecom real estate. Duties:
- Provide legal counsel and representation to clients on real estate matters, including acquisitions, dispositions, leasing, financing, and development projects.
- Conduct due diligence, review title documents, and draft contracts, leases, and other legal documents related to real estate transactions.
- Advise clients on zoning, land use regulations, environmental issues, and other legal considerations affecting real estate projects.
- Negotiate with opposing counsel, clients, and third parties to achieve favorable outcomes for clients.
- Handle real estate disputes, including litigation, arbitration, and mediation proceedings.
Requirements:
- Minimum of 5 years of experience practicing real estate law.
- Experience with renewable energy development, railroad real estate, or telecom real estate is preferred.
- Excellent writing and oral advocacy skills.
- Strong academic credentials from a reputable law school.
- Active law license in the applicable jurisdiction, or eligibility to become admitted to the applicable Bar.
Education:
- Juris Doctor (.) degree from an accredited law school.
Certifications:
- Active law license in the applicable jurisdiction.
