Summer Health Policy Internship The policy intern will support firm's health policy team in advancing progressive health policy priorities, including protecting the Affordable Care Act and Medicaid, strengthening Medicare, and transforming our health care system to better meet the needs of women and families. The policy intern’s duties will include researching and analyzing current policy issues; drafting briefs/memoranda, fact sheets, and other written materials; and tracking federal legislation and regulatory actions. Interns may contribute to patient/family engagement, health IT, performance measurement, payment reform and other work to advance high-value care. They will also develop consumer advocacy skills. Have the opportunity to attend coalition meetings and briefings, hearings, and other events on Capitol Hill and in other venues around town. Undergraduate, graduate and law students are considered. Must have excellent research, writing, communication, and interpersonal skills; the ability to manage multiple tasks and take initiative; and the ability to work independently. Full-time candidates preferred, especially those pursuing advanced degrees in public policy, public health, public or health administration.
