A law firm in Chicago, IL, is seeking a skilled Mid-level Real Estate Associate Attorney to join its team. The ideal candidate will have substantial experience in commercial real estate matters, including leasing, lending, acquisitions, and dispositions. This role requires a blend of strong drafting and analytical skills, along with the ability to work collaboratively and manage client interactions effectively.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Handle various aspects of commercial real estate transactions, including leasing, lending, acquisitions, and dispositions.
  • Draft, review, and negotiate legal documents related to real estate transactions, such as leases, purchase agreements, and loan agreements.
  • Conduct thorough due diligence and analyze complex real estate issues and transactions.
  • Collaborate with clients, colleagues, and other stakeholders to ensure smooth execution of real estate transactions.
  • Provide legal advice and guidance to clients on real estate matters, including regulatory and compliance issues.
  • Manage multiple matters simultaneously, meeting deadlines and maintaining high standards of work.
  • Represent clients in negotiations, meetings, and other interactions related to real estate matters.
  • Stay updated on changes in real estate laws and market trends to provide informed legal counsel.
  • Assist in the development of legal strategies and solutions tailored to client needs.

Requirements:

  • . degree from an ABA-accredited law school.
  • Admitted to practice law in the state of Illinois.
  • 3-6 years of experience in commercial real estate law.
  • Proven experience in handling leasing, lending, acquisitions, and dispositions.
  • Strong drafting, writing, analytical, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a team and independently manage client matters.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Confidence and professionalism in client interactions.

Education:

  • Juris Doctorate (.) from an ABA-accredited law school.

Certifications:

  • Admission to practice law in the state of Illinois.
