Training Technician, GS 9 The candidate will assist in the administration and effective management of unit training programs for the unit/organization. Manage the development of education and training instructional products. Monitor the overall accuracy and reliability of all data entered into and maintained in an automated Personnel Data System (PDS). Responsible for overall management On-The-Job (OJT) program for the organization/unit. Plan, direct, organize, and coordinate operations of the Advance Distributed Learning, and multimedia education and training program. Traveling is required.
Qualification and Experience
The candidate must have the following qualifications: Specialized Experience: Must have 1+ year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-07 grade level or qualifying pay band under other pay systems in the Federal Service which has given the particular knowledge, skills and abilities as shown below required to successfully perform the duties of the this position. Experience which involved performing education and training duties such as: management and delivery of the on-the-job (OJT) training; training requirements; retraining; organizational training planning; providing technical guidance and assistance to managers and supervisors within the organization on all aspects of the training program elements; and preparing briefings regarding status of programs. OR Substitution of Education for Experience: Master's Degree or equivalent graduate degree or 2+ full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to such a degree OR; LL.B or J.D., in a relevant field of study (e.g., Education). This education must demonstrate the knowledge, skills, and abilities to perform the duties of a Training Technician and is related to the duties of this position. If qualifying based on education, a legible copy of your college transcripts identifying Institution name and location, type of degree awarded and date conferred is required.
