Corporate - Contract Law
Min 5 yrs required
Paralegal - Contracts Responsibilities: Managing contract requests and due dates and ensuring a timely response. Reviewing vendor, licensing, non-disclosure, technology and other corporate agreements, as well as related statements of work. Managing contract details, including expiration and renewal dates. Maintaining close and trusted working relationships with Cetera’s executives and other internal business partners. Interfacing with third party vendors and outside counsel as needed. Supporting adherence to Cetera’s Procurement policies. Continuously and proactively updating contract templates, intake forms and other standard documents; identifying opportunities for procedural improvements and developing new templates when appropriate, to support the efficient and effective delivery of legal advice. Conduct legal research and analyze legal and business issues. Escalate issues appropriately, as needed.
Qualification and Experience
Qualifications: 5+ years of relevant experience at a law firm or in-house legal department. Practical knowledge of and experience in vendor contract review and management. Excellent oral and written communication, analytical, research and strategic thinking skills. Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment and accept a high degree of accountability. Ability to work effectively under tight deadlines. Team and service orientation. Strong work ethic. Sound judgment and problem-solving skills. Strong organizational and time-management skills. A strong interest in financial services . Working knowledge of laws, rules and regulations relating to financial services, broker-dealers, investment advisers, intellectual property, data privacy and information security – preferred .
