Compliance Coordinator The candidate will research federal, state and voluntary regulatory standards that relate to privacy, Medicare, Medicaid, and Joint Commission. Assisting with the development of educational materials such as annual Compliance Computer Based Training, New Employee Orientation, department requests and Compliance/Risk Management. Establishing a system to monitor the status of all licenses, certifications and provider numbers. Preparing applications where necessary for new numbers and renewals of existing numbers. Must have Associateâ€™s Degree in Business, Paralegal Studies, Coding, Communications, or other related field. 2+ years of relevant experience in Compliance, Coding, Health Information Management, or Legal experience may be considered in lieu of an Associateâ€™s degree in addition to the experience below. Preferred â€“ Bachelorâ€™s Degree in Business, Legal Studies, Communications, Healthcare or other related field with demonstrated written and oral communication skills. Should have 5+ yearsâ€™ experience in a complex academic medical center performing any variety of organizational, administrative, process improvement functions. Experience in compliance, coding and/or legal setting is preferred. Experience or background in RAC is a plus. Excellent verbal and written communication skills is required.
