Entertainment Attorney The candidate will be responsible for structuring, reviewing, drafting and negotiating transactions primarily in the film, television and new media industries. Will be involved in our employment and dispute resolution matters. Draft, review and negotiate a variety of entertainment agreements, including production services, talent, digital rights, content acquisition and other similar agreements. Effectively represent clients in negotiating deal terms in a range of matters. Perform first-rate legal research and use it effectively to forward client goals. Prepare documents with precision and accuracy as if the first draft is the last. Coordinate, collaborate with and support other attorneys of the firm. Delegate effectively to and supervise other associates, paralegals and legal assistants.
Qualification and Experience
The candidate must be admitted to practice in New York, have 4-7 years of legal experience primarily in entertainment law, and an excellent academic history. Experience in the areas of transactional entertainment law, media and technology or other relevant experience is required. General corporate experience is desired. Should have an interest in client development, management and marketing.
