Job Overview:
A prominent law firm based in Los Angeles is looking to hire an Attorney with a focus on personal injury and lemon law cases. This position is ideal for a recent law school graduate or an attorney with up to 2 years of experience. Under the guidance of a managing attorney, the successful candidate will gain hands-on experience, handling cases from intake through resolution, including providing legal advice, conducting research, and representing clients in negotiations and court appearances.

Duties:

  • Conduct initial consultations with potential clients to evaluate their cases and offer preliminary legal advice.
  • Manage personal injury and lemon law cases in collaboration with a Case Manager and under the supervision of the managing attorney.
  • Perform legal research and draft legal documents, including pleadings, motions, and correspondence.
  • Maintain clear communication with clients, updating them on case progress and addressing any concerns.
  • Participate in the discovery process, including drafting and responding to interrogatories, production requests, and depositions.
  • Assist in negotiating settlements with insurance companies and opposing counsel.
  • Represent clients in court for motions, hearings, and potential trials.
  • Help prepare cases for trial, including organizing evidence, preparing witnesses, and drafting trial briefs.
  • Engage in professional development through workshops, seminars, and other educational opportunities.

Requirements:

  • 0-2 years of experience in personal injury or lemon law.
  • Strong research, writing, and analytical skills.
  • Ability to handle multiple cases simultaneously in a fast-paced environment.
  • Detail-oriented with a commitment to providing high-quality legal representation.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Must be licensed to practice law in California (or eligible to sit for the Bar exam).
