ProfileParalegal - Contracts and Real Estate The candidate will coordinate with internal business partners to provide guidance to the Company on contracts, real estate, and other projects as they arise. Support and manage the review, execution and storage of contracts in a SharePoint management system. Coordinate with in-house counsel, outside attorneys, and company personnel to expedite the execution, organization, and processing of contracts and third party diligence as needed. Assist with the management of internal databases and recommend possible solutions and courses of action to supervising attorneys as appropriate. Review commercial retail leases and prepare renewals, amendments as needed. Work closely with Real Estate, learning their databases and software programs to pull and review appropriate documents. Review lease files and draft appropriate letters to landlord for incidents as they occur. Occasional responsibilities for team or department-oriented tasks, projects, and activities. Understand applicable company policies, procedures and other job-specific instructive documents and materials. Conduct business and perform job duties in a manner consistent with the requirements set forth in all company policies, procedures and other directives, and in compliance with legal and regulatory requirements. Complete all compliance training assigned to them to understand the key provisions of law, regulation and internal policies and procedures applicable to their job duties, as well as the impact of non- compliance on the company's reputation and success. Raise concerns about any practice(s) believed to be a violation of, or inconsistent with, company policies, procedures or other directives, or in violation of legal or regulatory requirements. Monitor processes and procedures to ensure safety and compliance. Model the Company's Vision and Values. Other duties as assigned. 10+ years paralegal experience in law firm or in-house legal department preferred. Strong background in contracts necessary, a focus on real estate is helpful. Bachelor's degree in related field from an accredited college or university, or equivalent experience preferred. Paralegal degree or certificate required.
