A prestigious law firm is seeking an experienced and motivated Insurance Coverage Attorney to join its dynamic team. The role involves representing both domestic and international insurers in complex coverage matters, offering an exciting opportunity for a professional with 3-6 years of experience in insurance litigation. This position provides a balanced hybrid work environment, combining flexibility with in-person collaboration.

Duties:

  • Develop and execute litigation strategies for insurance coverage disputes, focusing on high-stakes matters.
  • Lead and manage insurance coverage litigation and arbitration proceedings.
  • Conduct extensive legal research, draft detailed memoranda, and write position letters.
  • Analyze and interpret a wide range of insurance policies, offering coverage advice and strategic recommendations.
  • Supervise and contribute to the mediation and settlement process of underlying litigations across various jurisdictions.
  • Draft and review legal documents including pleadings, briefs, interrogatories, and memos.
  • Participate in depositions, document reviews, client conferences, and all aspects of coverage litigation and arbitration.
  • Collaborate with colleagues in a team-oriented environment and foster client relationships.

Requirements:

  • Active Bar admission in New York or New Jersey.
  • Minimum of 3-6 years of experience in commercial litigation or working in-house with liability insurance policies.
  • Demonstrated strong academic credentials.
  • Proven track record in insurance coverage or related legal practice areas.

Education:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.

Certifications:

  • Admission to practice in New York or New Jersey.

Skills:

  • Exceptional legal research, writing, and communication skills.
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build and maintain client relationships.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines efficiently.
