A law firm seeks an experienced Family Law Attorney to join its team in Portland, ME. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in family law with a passion for helping clients through complex legal issues during challenging life events. Duties:

• Represent clients in various family law matters, such as divorce, child custody, spousal support, and property division.
• Draft legal documents, including pleadings, motions, and settlement agreements.
• Conduct legal research and stay up-to-date on changes and developments in family law.
• Attend court hearings, trials, and client meetings, and present cases effectively.
• Provide legal counsel and ongoing support to clients through the legal process.
• Collaborate with paralegals and other legal staff to ensure efficient case management and streamlined processes.

Requirements:

• Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
• Admission to the state bar and in good standing.
• Minimum of 2 years of experience in family law litigation.
• Strong research, writing, and analytical skills.
• Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Ability to manage a caseload effectively and meet deadlines.
• A commitment to providing exceptional legal representation to clients and a passion for family law.

Education:

• Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school.

Certifications:

• Admission to the state bar in good standing.

Skills:

• Expertise in family law, especially divorce, custody, and spousal support matters.
• Strong writing, research, and analytical abilities.
• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
