Legal Assistant Responsibilities: Work directly with seasoned malpractice trial attorney and build relationships with deserving clients. Input data to TrialWorks and using that system to generate legal documents. Review case discovery status and responding to discovery demands. Directly contacting clients, experts and opposing attorneys in all phases of litigation. Prepare HIPAA authorizations and obtain records. Review and summarize medical records. Secretarial (typing up letters, filing, etc.).

Qualification and Experience

Qualifications: Must have 1+ year of experience in a Plaintiff's litigation practice, or 3+ years' experience in other litigation. Able to write grammatically and proof final copy. Polite, articulate phone communication. Able to learn new tasks. Tracks projects and deadlines without reminders. Strong Qualifications: Previous experience using TrialWorks or other litigation software. Prior medical background or in-depth experience in medical malpractice.
