Job Overview:
A well-established law firm is seeking a dedicated and experienced Civil Litigation Attorney specializing in Employment Law. This role offers the opportunity to handle a variety of complex cases with a focus on employment litigation, including issues such as wrongful termination, wage disputes, and class action matters. Duties:

• Represent clients in litigation matters related to employment law, such as wage and hour disputes, wrongful termination, discrimination, harassment, retaliation, and more.
• Manage cases from start to finish, including client intake, drafting legal documents (pleadings, motions, discovery, etc.), and preparing for trials.
• Conduct legal research and stay updated on evolving employment laws and civil litigation practices.
• Take and defend depositions, attend court hearings, and negotiate settlements.
• Work closely with senior attorneys on developing case strategies and preparing for trial.
• Maintain consistent and clear communication with clients to ensure they are informed at every stage of the legal process.
• Represent clients in trials, whether before a jury or a judge.

Requirements:

• Minimum 3 years of experience in employment and civil litigation, with a focus on employment law.
• Proven ability to manage complex cases independently, including drafting legal documents and conducting depositions.
• Strong oral and written communication skills.
• Ability to work effectively with clients, opposing counsel, and the legal team.
• Experience with both plaintiff and defense-side cases in employment litigation is a plus.

Education:

• Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school.

Certifications:

• Licensed to practice law in the state of California.

Skills:

• Expertise in employment law and civil litigation.
• Strong research and analytical skills.
• Excellent negotiation and settlement skills.
• Trial experience, including presenting cases before a jury or judge.
• Ability to handle multiple tasks efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
