Deputy Director, 8300B-00 Duties The candidate will assist the Unit Director with the Asset Information Management System (AIMS) program for the Mayor’s Office of Management and Budget (OMB); and report to the Director of Technical Services and the Associate Commissioner of Architecture and Engineering.

Qualification and Experience

Qualification: The candidate should have baccalaureate degree from an accredited college in engineering, architecture, landscape architecture, business administration, or public administration, and five years of full-time satisfactory experience in the planning, administering or expediting of engineering design, and/or construction, or coordinating a very large engineering project, 2+ years of which must have been in an administrative, managerial, executive or supervisory capacity; or 4- year high school diploma or its educational equivalent and nine years of experience as described in "1" above; 2+ years of which must have been in an administrative, managerial, executive or supervisory capacity; or education and/or experience equivalent to "1" or "2" above. An accredited Master's degree in one of the disciplines described in "1" above, a law degree, or a valid New York State license as a Professional Engineer or Registered Architect or Landscape Architect may be substituted for one year of the required experience. Must have 2+ years of the administrative, managerial, executive or supervisory experience as described in "1" above. 4+ years of experience in a managerial, administrative or supervisory capacity; ability to effectively communicate both verbally and in writing; field experience; capable of conducting site visits, including accessing rooftops and basements within multi-level buildings; and expertise in forensic diagnosis of deterioration, distress and failure issues is highly desirable. AutoCAD, BIM, and LEED AP is preferred.
