Real Estate Associate The candidate is responsible for coordinating issue resolution between various firm departments and externals stakeholders (e.g., landlords). Assists with real estate transactions and provides support and data insights affecting the real estate portfolio activities. Evaluates trend data to proactively identify early adverse or positive trends in the real estate portfolio, asset disposition, construction management, asset management, and store care programs. Coordinates issue resolution between various firm departments and external stakeholders by researching root causes, contacting various internal teams, communicating with landlords, and updating agreements, with oversight. Updates real estate information in internal systems. Participates in, and at times leads, meetings with various departments to collect and report on information regarding process standardization and improvement, waste elimination, and customer requirements for ad hoc reporting. Creates appropriate business metrics for division processes and updates score cards based upon objective interpretations of performance against metrics/standards. Provides data insights and recommends corrective actions to address adverse trends or deploy best practices associated with program trends. Prepares monthly asset management reports to align with division strategy and objectives and tracks progress to further drive value creation activities. Maintains and manages data within the asset management database with emphasis on reviewing and managing performance metrics to guide future strategies.
Qualification and Experience
The candidate should have Bachelorâ€™s Degree OR a High School Diploma/GED and 3+ years of experience in real estate industry. Bachelorâ€™s Degree in Finance, Economics or Real Estate is preferred. CFA, CPA, JD degree is preferred. Experience in developing ways of accomplishing goals with little or no supervision, depending on oneself to complete objectives and determining when escalation of issues is necessary. Experience organizing and prioritizing project workload to meet deadlines is essential. Experience collaborating with internal and external resources to help communicate strategies that meet department goals within budget and established timelines is essential. Experience in learning and applying real estate concepts required to deliver results is essential. Must have intermediate level skill in Microsoft Excel (for example: using SUM function, setting borders, setting column width, inserting charts, using text wrap, sorting, setting headers and footers and/or print scaling) and intermediate level skill in Microsoft PowerPoint (for example: applying a theme, formatting character spacing, inserting a picture, changing slide layout and theme colors, adding transitions, customizing slide numbers, changing chart style and/or formatting font). Must have intermediate level skill in Microsoft Word (for example: inserting headers, page breaks, page numbers and tables and/or adjusting table columns).
