Palo Alto office of a BCG Attorney Search Top Ranked Law Firm seeks an intellectual property attorney with 3 years of experience practicing patent law, and experience preparing patent applications. The candidate will be reviewing technical invention disclosures, preparing for and participating in patent disclosure meetings with inventors, conducting patentability analysis based on prior art search results, and preparing and filing patent applications in high technology product development. Relevant technologies include computer technologies, database, semiconductors, telecommunications and network technologies, signal processing, circuit design, machine learning, data analytics, Internet of Things (IoT), and storage devices. Post-drafting duties include assisting in prosecution of patent applications in the US Patent and Trademark Office (USPTO), such as preparing responses to USPTO Office Actions and interviewing Examiner, reviewing potential procurement of patents worldwide, preparing international patent applications under the Patent Cooperation Treaty and national phase patent applications, prepare recommendations for responses to foreign office Actions/Examination Reports from foreign Patent Offices, and assisting with domestic and international intellectual property portfolios. Further duties may include legal analysis of non-infringement and/or invalidity, preparing legal pleadings and papers for intellectual property and related matters, and participation in proceedings before the Patent Trial and Appeals Board (PTAB). Should have admission to practice law in a US State, a Bachelor?s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science or related discipline.
