Senior Legal Assistant- Litigation Duties: Provides the legal staff with higher-level legal assistant expertise and assists with certain supervisory and administrative functions regarding the legal assistant staff. Assists the litigation legal staff on client matters, especially those matters requiring higher-level assistance, including preparation of documents for client meetings, court appearances, trials, and other such requests from attorneys of the firm. Participates and assists in the training of new legal assistants. Assists in the distribution of work assignments. Assists in the supervision of the legal assistant and paralegal clerk staff. Handles various routine and administrative matters. Performs other duties may be assigned. In addition, responsibilities related to maintaining firm and client information are to be adhered to by all employees. This includes complying with the firm’s information security policies, protecting firm assets from unauthorized access, disclosure, modification, destruction or interference, and reporting security events or potential events or other security risks to management.
Qualification and Experience
Qualification Requirements: A Bachelor’s degree with 2+ years of experience in a major litigation firm. Trial experience is preferred. Thorough knowledge and expertise in litigation. Ability to supervise and/or train legal assistant and paralegal clerk staffs. Good organizational and interpersonal skills.
