Paralegal Duties: Conduct intake interviews, obtain and review medical records, research federal regulations, attend Social Security appointments, advocate on behalf of claimants, write advocacy memoranda in support of claims, and coordinated the process of obtaining and submitting all necessary supporting documents for an application.

Qualification and Experience

Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree. Fluent in Spanish. Recent college graduates interested in a career in law, public policy or social work. Must be prepared to handle a high case volume and to interact with a diverse client population in a sensitive and professional manner. Must have excellent analytical skills in order to assess whether claimants have legal basis for application based on medical evidence. Expected to work independently, with a team and directly with clients. Should demonstrate a commitment to public service.
