Small San Francisco immigration law firm is seeking a legal intern or paralegal to assist in law firm responsibilities. Our practice focuses on employment based immigrant and non-immigrant visa applications and also family based immigration petitions. We provide excellent training and real life experience in the U.S. immigration law. This job requires a lot of writings but it is certainly helpful for any of your future career. Responsibilities: · Conduct legal research on immigration laws and regulations, USCIS policies, case law and etc. · Assist our attorney with sorting out supporting evidence, and drafting memoranda, summaries, petitions and etc. · Follow up with clients in a timely manner and be a problem solver. · Draft legal contents for the firm's website to educate our clients or potential clients about immigration issues. This is a part time job. We estimate that you will need to work for 4-10 hours per week. Because this is a virtual position, you can work from any place in the U.S. at any time, either day, or night, or weekend as long as you can complete your assignments on time. Flexible working hours allow law school students to continue to go to school in the day time. It also provides a side job opportunity for immigration paralegals who are able and willing to support the firm remotely. Qualifications: · Law students/graduates who have studied immigration law; or paralegals with 2-year's experience in the area of immigration law. · Knowledges and experience in H-1B, L-1, O-1, E-2, EB-1, EB-2/3, EB-5, I-130 and I-751 are preferred. · Must be a fast learner with strong legal research skills if immigration law is new to you. · Must have excellent writing skills.
