Estate Planning Paralegal The candidate will be responsible for the paralegal and administrative support of corporate, estate planning, and taxation attorneys as assigned. Will be proactive and constructive interaction with clients, attorneys, outside vendors. Scheduling and maintaining calendars. Time tracking. Telephone answering and screening. Handling daily mail (pick up/drop off). Occasional errands (local and downtown). Creation and maintenance of corporate and LLC minute books. Formation and qualification of corporations, limited liability companies and limited partnerships. Assist in preparing estate planning documents from inception to completion, post-signing file and document maintenance, trust funding as required. Maintaining various lists including client/matter status charts, trust funding status charts. Will assist with overflow work and projects as required. The candidate should have a paralegal certificate. Bachelor's degree preferred; Minimum of 3 years experience as a paralegal, preferably in a law firm setting. Familiarity with contract and document management systems. Familiarity with Efiling preferred. Proficient computer skills required with a focus in the Microsoft Office Suite, Adobe, Outlook. Excellent writing and communication skills. This position requires outstanding organization, project management and prioritization skills, a high degree of confidentiality and professionalism. Computer proficiency (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, others) needed. Efiling and "in person" court filing experience (Cook County). Ability to set priorities and manage time to ensure work is timely and efficiently completed. Ability to multi-task efficiently and accurately always assuring a top-notch client experience. Willing to work as a team player.
