Job Overview:
A law firm seeks a motivated and detail-oriented Associate Litigation Attorney to join its legal team. This role involves working closely with senior attorneys to conduct legal research, draft persuasive briefs, and manage a dynamic caseload. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in personal injury law and be proficient in all aspects of the litigation process, including discovery and case preparation.

Duties:

  • Perform thorough legal research and analysis to support case strategies.

  • Draft legal documents, including pleadings, motions, and briefs.

  • Manage personal injury cases from inception to resolution.

  • Prepare for and participate in negotiations, mediations, and court proceedings.

  • Collaborate with senior attorneys to develop and execute litigation strategies.

  • Communicate effectively with clients, opposing counsel, and court officials.

  • Ensure cases are properly prepared for settlement discussions or trial.

Requirements:

  • Licensed to practice law in Illinois.

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience handling personal injury cases.

  • Strong understanding of the discovery and litigation process.

  • Exceptional research, writing, and verbal communication skills.

  • Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.

Education:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.

Certifications:

  • Active Illinois Bar License (Required).

Skills:

  • Proficiency in legal research and case analysis.

  • Strong writing and drafting abilities.

  • Effective negotiation and litigation skills.

  • Detail-oriented with excellent organizational capabilities.

  • Ability to manage multiple cases simultaneously while meeting deadlines.
