Job Overview:
A law firm seeks a motivated and detail-oriented Associate Litigation Attorney to join its legal team. This role involves working closely with senior attorneys to conduct legal research, draft persuasive briefs, and manage a dynamic caseload. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in personal injury law and be proficient in all aspects of the litigation process, including discovery and case preparation.
Duties:
Perform thorough legal research and analysis to support case strategies.
Draft legal documents, including pleadings, motions, and briefs.
Manage personal injury cases from inception to resolution.
Prepare for and participate in negotiations, mediations, and court proceedings.
Collaborate with senior attorneys to develop and execute litigation strategies.
Communicate effectively with clients, opposing counsel, and court officials.
Ensure cases are properly prepared for settlement discussions or trial.
Requirements:
Licensed to practice law in Illinois.
Minimum of 5 years of experience handling personal injury cases.
Strong understanding of the discovery and litigation process.
Exceptional research, writing, and verbal communication skills.
Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.
Education:
Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
Certifications:
Active Illinois Bar License (Required).
Skills:
Proficiency in legal research and case analysis.
Strong writing and drafting abilities.
Effective negotiation and litigation skills.
Detail-oriented with excellent organizational capabilities.
Ability to manage multiple cases simultaneously while meeting deadlines.
