Manager - International Income Tax Consulting Duties: Leads a team of Consultants to provide global tax advisory services to clients. Responsible for the management of the team and oversees their performance and development. Responsible for the quality, timely delivery, and budget control of each project. Will be involved in maintaining and building client relationships and assisting in prospecting for new clients. Participates in the development of new international tax planning opportunities, including the identification of opportunities, development of ideas, and presentation of those ideas to clients and targets. Supervises tasks delegated to assigned staff and ensures effective integration in final consulting product. Oversees accuracy, adequacy, and quality of consulting product. Participates in the preparation of Statement of Work and Proposals. Works with colleagues globally and in other service lines such as Transfer Pricing, Value-Added Tax (VAT), and State Income/Franchise Tax to develop and deliver custom solutions for multinational clients. Assists in the training and education of other team members. Independently conducts tax research. Leads the management of Work in Progress (WIP) reports and client billing. Travels to client locations as needed on a global basis for planning meetings, fact gathering, presentations, etc. Assists in the management and administration of the U.S. International Income Tax practice as assigned. Performs other duties as assigned. Directly supervises employees in the International Income Tax practice and carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the Firm’s policies and applicable laws.
Qualification and Experience
Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, and/or Economics required. Certified Public Accountant (CPA), JD Degree, or Master of Taxation degree required. 5+ years' experience in tax, with a heavy emphasis on international tax consulting is necessary. Must have excellent U.S. international tax technical skills and a deep familiarity with Latin American international tax laws and rules, especially those governing international trade and cross-border transactions of goods and services. Bilingual, Spanish language is preferred. A previous track record of excellent service delivery and working in a team environment is also necessary. Must have intermediate knowledge of Microsoft® Word, Access, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, and Internet navigation and research.
