Senior Labor Relations Specialist Duties: The candidate provides guidance to employees and administrators on the grievance process, including those at a complex level (Step 3). Handles inquiries on FMLA, layoffs, suspensions, and other related matters. Leads investigations, and otherwise assists Labor Relations leadership in decision support and preparation of cases (including those for the SDHR, City Commission). Serves as case investigator and hearing officer. Takes an active role in contract negotiations. Participates in downsizing/lay-off processes. Establishes monitors and provides all necessary reports as per bargaining unit contracts on a regular basis. Responsible for creation of contracts and monthly invoices for vendors as necessary. Qualification and Experience
Qualification: The candidate should have Bachelors degree required (Masters preferred). Juris Doctor degree is preferred. Must have 7+ years experience in a labor relations setting, preferably in a healthcare environment. Superior written and oral communication skill is essential.
