Senior Regulatory Specialist The candidate will coordinate, research, compile, analyze and distribute accurate and timely information from various internal and external sources in order to prepare and file data related to telephone/voice regulatory and compliance functions. Will represent the company in communication of regulatory matters. Actively and consistently support all efforts to simplify and enhance the customer experience. Coordinate research and collect data to complete regulatory filings with state and federal authorities (including Public Service Commissions regarding compliance filings, service outage reports and ad hoc data requests). Serve as point of contact to federal and state agencies and internal departments such as the Network Operations Centers regarding service outage requirements. Participate in internal and external meetings as necessary to provide federal and state agency regulatory voice information to agencies and internal stakeholders as required. Prepare correspondence and responsive materials such as Rural Call Completion Complaints to third parties and regulatory authorities. Conduct regulation-related negotiations with such parties as requested. Have ability to understand voice related federal and state reporting requirements and multiple reporting processes. Be able to review reports for agency filings and provide necessary approvals. Participate in internal voice related project meetings and prepare summaries of action items as it relates to agency filings, document updates and issue resolution. Assist with preparation of and filing of federal and state tariffs or revisions to customer facing documents (e.g. Company terms and conditions, voice service price guides). Monitor legislation and maintain monitoring log; ensure that appropriate Business Units are informed by coordinating the exchange of information. Research, analyze and determine required information such as Interconnection Agreements, Terminating Traffic Agreements and local area calling information for voice service area launches. Conduct research and analyze issues with other departments including operations, finance, engineering, billing, and legal. Conduct internal compliance reviews, as directed, regarding regulatory requirements such as service outage reporting, Telecommunications Service Priority and/or other compliance matters, as needed. Be able to work within internal database to organize and maintain historical data and records. Track open issues and prepare regular status reports, as needed. Should have a Bachelor's degree in business or related field or equivalent (Paralegal certificate/experience). Must have 5 years of Telecommunications/Telephony industry work experience or equivalent with 3 years of regulatory work experience or equivalent. Should have knowledge of telecommunications products and services as well as the Regulatory and/or Legislative process. Some travel may be required.
