Entry Level Legal Assistant / Receptionist The candidate will provide support to attorneys as well as secretarial assistance to the attorneys in the office including answering phone calls, opening mail, calendaring/docketing important dates and events, tracking appointments, drafting correspondence letters, and maintaining filing for 4 attorneys. Answer multiple line telephone, screen callers, relay messages, and greet visitors. Coordinate attorneysâ€™ calendars, scheduling appointments and conference rooms. Draft and/or type correspondence letters. Open, sort, and enter all mail into the document management and billing systems. Operate office equipment such as copier, fax machine, postage meter, and calculators. Operate PC computer to use email, electronic calendars, Microsoft Word, Excel, and other basic office support software. Maintain paper and electronic files in alphanumeric order and quickly locate materials from files Regular and punctual work attendance during core business hours of 8:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
Qualification and Experience
Qualifications: Prior law firm experience is preferred, but prior office experience is required. Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail. Ability to make decisions and establish work priorities on essential procedure-oriented operations. Ability to exchange confidential information in an appropriate manner with excellent written and oral skills. Ability to work with multiple attorneys and organize/prioritize various tasks for attorneys and other staff. Ability to organize and maintain confidential firm and client information.
