Contracts Negotiator The candidate will be responsible for participation in analysis of Request for Proposals (RFP), proposal reviews and coordination, contract negotiation and general contract administration/program execution both individually and through coordination with other functions, including Program Management, Finance, Operations, Quality, Legal and Business Development within the AMDS area. Will be responsible for developing strong internal and external customer relationships and partnering in creative problem solving approaches to address business needs. They will engage in the front end (pre-RFP) activities in structuring sound business arrangements; daily and close communication with customers; effective management of customer priorities/needs; closure of contractual issues. Assist the program leads in formulating and executing business strategies to reduce risk, manage changes, enhance customer satisfaction and support the generation of additional or new business opportunities. Must have BS/BA in one of the following majors: Business, Finance or Related Field. JD or MBA is a plus. Should have 4+ years’ experience with financial aspects of contracts or finance related business arrangements. Proficient knowledge of applied business terms and principles is needed. Defense industry experience, space experience, or experience in companies that bring technology products to market in a heavily regulated industry is must. Experience with US government customers in the acquisition and user communities is essential. Experience in contract administration, including proposal development, contract negotiation, change management and risk mitigation is required. Experience in and working knowledge of FAR/DFARS/ITAR is essential. Experience with Microsoft Word, Excel, Power Point, and shared data bases is required. Familiarity with Raytheon’s businesses, policies, and practices is preferred. Experience with Missile Defense Agency contracting and acquisition requirements is a plus. Experience with other contract vehicles or large subcontracts is helpful. Active Security Clearance is helpful. Working knowledge in the use and application of APEX, ICMS and SAP is a plus.
