Legal Secretary - Litigation
The candidate will provide legal support to several attorneys & coordinate heavy caseloads. Record and monitor appearance dates, pleadings and filing requirements. Schedule and arrange meetings and conferences and notify interested parties. Proofreads and corrects prepared materials. Opens, sorts and logs mail. Composes routine letters and memoranda. Establishes and maintains office files, logs and other information in connection with the work of the attorney. Prepares travel arrangements. Receive and screen visitors/calls and respond to inquiries. Enters billable time for attorneys. Prepares bills for clients. Makes necessary copies and arranges set up with copy services. Should preferably have 3-4 years administrative experience in a law firm and in the area of litigation. Knowledge of Microsoft Office suite. Knowledge of legal terminology and procedures preferred. May lift up to 15 pounds on occasion.

The law office does a great job of encompassing a family culture. The employees and staff seem to work collectively and should continue be encouraged to do so. Management should look at offering more opportunities to grow within the law firm.

Pros : The law firm is composed of a group of staff and employees which put their best effort into the work which they perform. The environment has resulted in positive one as the staff and employees behave in having values of family.
Cons : The law firm does not offer the opportunity to grow. The size of the law office firm is small and causes promotions to not occur often.
