Compliance Paralegal Duties: Review sales contracts and record key terms in the Contract Management system. Review sourcing contract record data pertaining to Levels of Authority Policy for accuracy and assist sourcing team to address errors. Work closely with the legal team to review, draft, and negotiate CDAs/NDAs. Utilize workflow tools to obtain appropriate corporate approvals and ensure intended OC signer is authorized per the Levels of Authority Policy. Assist employees on the interpretation of the Levels of Authority Policy. Train, advise and lead a regional team of contract administrators to ensure global compliance of contract administration. Develop and revise policies including, but not limited to, the Levels of Authority Policy, Contract Administration Policy and Law Department LOA Policy. Develop and maintain a database for Power of Attorneys and Delegations. Track and remediate policy and process violations. Define and monitor performance metrics to ensure process compliance. Assist in periodic audits to verify that all required contracts are in the Contract Management system and in compliance with corporate policy; ensure timely remediation of failures identified during audit testing. Interface with external auditors, internal auditors, and Internal Controls relative to the contract management control structure. Coordinate and gather information, materials, documents and reports which are necessary to respond to inquiries. Prepare reports, metrics, correspondence and memoranda as identified, needed and required. Assist the Global Compliance team in corporate policy development and various compliance efforts.
Qualification and Experience
Requirements: Bachelorâ€™s degree â€“ Preferred. Post-secondary paralegal certification or degree. General knowledge of legal terminology and principles. Demonstrated ability to utilize technical information to make independent decisions and make recommendations to supervising attorney. Expertise using contemporary office equipment and applications, including Micosoft 365, Word, Excel, Outlook, Access, etc. Expertise in legal research and analyzing and reviewing legal documents resulting in an error free end product. Demonstration of ability to put together action plans and timelines across multiple projects. Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively both verbally and written. Demonstrated ability to provide high level support to various stakeholders across a heavily matrixed organization.
