ProfileAttorney - Data Privacy and Protection The candidate will possess an in-depth knowledge of global privacy and data security laws and regulations including international data protection compliance. Oversee tracking and monitoring of global data protection laws, including data transfer requirements and advise the business on any required changes to policies or processes. Oversee internal and third-party risk and privacy impact assessment processes. Assist with the day to day legal aspects of international privacy and information security investigations, including managing projects and documenting incident response. Advise on contract provisions related to data security compliance. Assist in the development of privacy training to facilitate and promote information privacy awareness within the Company and related entities. Lead the implementation and revisions of data classification and other information management policies. Should have J.D. from an ABA accredited law school or European equivalent. Must have 5-7 years of overall legal expertise (law firm or in-house). Admission to a U.S. State Bar if U.S. attorney is essential. Experience with data incident response, cybersecurity, privacy, compliance, and investigations a plus. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills; experience with cross-cultural communications a plus. Working knowledge of HIPAA a plus. Closing Date: 2018-06-09.
