Director of Compliance, Corporate Legal Counsel The candidate will be responsible for overseeing compliance and licensing throughout the company as well as assisting the General Counsel with minimizing corporate liability and risks. Work with General Counsel to manage company litigation, contracts, and enforcement of compliance rules. Oversee Compliance programs across all sales production channels. Create and implement compliance protocols. Create, manage and oversee licensing procedures, including the opening of markets. Create and manage relationships with government agencies, license boards and self-regulatory organizations. Oversee daily activities of Compliance Administrator and Licensing Administrator. Compliance and Licensing training. Reporting of Compliance and Licensing data and trends. Manage discovery requests and responses and deadlines. Legal research and reporting. Other duties as assigned.
Qualification and Experience
The candidate should have a Juris Doctorate from an accredited law school. Active bar license, preferably Utah. At least three(3) years of experience as an active, licensed attorney in the field of compliance. At least one(1) year of related experience in professional licensing and/or compliance role. At least five years of industry-specific experience in licensing and compliance role. Extensive understanding of licensing laws and rules across the United States. Strong verbal and written communication skills. Ability to handle many diverse tasks at once. Organizational skills. High attention to detail. Creative problem-solving. Ability to manage and interact with strong personalities.
