Paralegal/Legal Assistant Duties: Serves clients by managing cases; supporting trial proceedings, under supervision of an attorney; representing the attorney to clients and others; enhances attorney effectiveness by providing information-management. Organizes cases by establishing and organizing files; establishing calendars; expediting requirements and deadlines; documenting actions. Supports trial proceedings by organizing evidence and exhibits; taking notes; scheduling witnesses; ensuring that witnesses arrive as scheduled. Updates job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities; reading professional publications.
Qualification and Experience
Qualifications: Bachelor's Degree. Paralegal Certification or certification. 2 years’ experience. Superior Writing Skills, Reporting Skills, Research Skills, Legal Administration Skills, Litigation, Client Relationships, Organization, Planning, Attention to Detail, Confidentiality, Dependability, Excellent Interpersonal Skills, Excellent Verbal and Written Communication, Superior Computer Skills, Excelling in Word Perfect or Word Perfect X5, Microsoft Outlook, and Microsoft Excel. Preferred candidate shall have a background in writing and/or have previous experience working in a law office environment.
