Temporary Senior Procurement Lawyer The candidate will perform legal sufficiency reviews for the anticipated end-of-fiscal year surge in (a) solicitations, source selection decisions, and resulting contracts for supplies and services, including information technology (IT), (b) software and data licenses and research and development-related transactions, (c) grants and cooperative agreements, and (d) a variety of other contractual and programmatic actions. Should have a J.D. or equivalent degree from an accredited law school and be a member in good standing in the highest court of any state or the District of Columbia. Must be available to report for work on short notice; anticipated to remain in place into October, and may be asked to remain on-site through November or December. Must be capable of providing real-time analysis and recommendations in the resolution of issues and assisting the Department in litigation before the Civilian Board of Contract Appeals (CBCA) and the Government Accountability Office (GAO). Should have deep substantive knowledge and a track record in legal research and writing for administrative law proceedings, and experience in providing legal advice to clients and senior attorneys.
