Risk Management - VP, Compliance
The candidate serves as the credit union’s Compliance Officer. Directs and supervises company’s Regulatory Compliance Program. Oversees the development of an evolving Bank Secrecy Act program. Assumes the lead role in the development and management of a regulatory compliance program, including proactive identification and communication of compliance deficiencies, inherent risks, and the development of practices to mitigate legal, regulatory, and compliance risks. Coordinates with applicable internal and external resources to detect, measure, and monitor internal and external compliance risks that face the credit union industry and company in the development and maintenance of the compliance program. Conducts compliance research and analysis of new and evolving laws and regulations to insure that company is prepared and complying with all regulations. Develops processes to maintain regulatory compliance in all areas of company, including safeguards against deterioration of regulatory compliance by maintaining awareness of established procedures and policies. Should have J.D. degree and membership in at least one U.S. state Bar. Must have 4+ years of experience, including at a law firm and/or in-house with experience representing companies (preferably financial institutions) in regulatory matters.
