Our prestigious law firm is seeking an Immigration Associate to join our Immigration Practice Group. Key Responsibilities:
• Handling a diverse caseload of immigration matters, including non-immigrant visa applications, green card processes, naturalization applications, waivers of inadmissibility, and I-9 compliance.
• Conducting legal research and providing accurate advice to clients on immigration laws, regulations, and policies.
• Collaborating with attorneys, paralegals, and administrative personnel on complex immigration matters.
• Drafting legal documents, such as forms, letters, and petitions for various immigration projects.
• Taking ownership of cases from start to finish with limited supervision.
• Contributing to case strategy and analysis with creative and innovative thinking.
• Representing clients in interviews and other proceedings.
• Staying updated on changes in immigration laws and policies to ensure compliance and provide strategic advice to clients.
• Assisting in business development efforts and networking activities to grow the immigration practice.
• Participating in training programs and professional development opportunities to enhance legal knowledge and skills.
• Upholding ethical standards and maintaining client confidentiality.
Qualifications:
• 4-6 years' experience in immigration law, specifically employment-based immigration and labor and employment experience.
• Strong knowledge of immigration law and practice, backed by excellent academic credentials and research skills.
• Ability to handle a diverse caseload and work with attorneys at all levels.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Proven ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills.
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced and deadline-driven environment.
