This firm handles a wide range of insurance coverage matters, providing legal services to policyholder clients in complex disputes and ensuring the maximization of insurance recoveries. The role involves advising clients on various insurance coverage issues across diverse industries.
Duties:
- Assist in resolving complex insurance coverage disputes, including claims defense and settlement.
- Provide legal counsel on insurance recovery in areas such as general liability, professional liability, cyber insurance, pollution, auto, property, directors and officers, and more.
- Draft and review insurance policy provisions, indemnity clauses, and contractual agreements.
- Represent policyholders in litigation involving insurance coverage matters.
- Engage in negotiations with insurers to secure favorable outcomes for clients.
- Collaborate with senior attorneys to handle legal strategies and case management.
- Conduct research and prepare memoranda on various insurance coverage topics.
Requirements:
- 1-5 years of experience in insurance recovery or related legal practice.
- Prior experience representing policyholders in insurance coverage disputes, claims handling, or contract drafting is preferred.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to present complex information clearly and effectively.
- Ability to analyze and interpret insurance policies and coverage issues.
- Experience with construction insurance coverage is a plus.
- Interest in litigation and/or corporate transactional work is beneficial.
Education:
- Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school.
Certifications:
- Admission to practice law in New York.
Skills:
- Excellent analytical, communication, and problem-solving abilities.
- Proficiency in legal research and writing.
- Strong attention to detail with the ability to manage multiple tasks effectively.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
