Job Summary

We are looking for a hard-working, independent, and friendly person to fill the part-time position of Legal Assistant/Receptionist. The assistant's most important role is to interface with potential and existing clients via phone and in person while scheduling consultations and greeting them for in-office meetings. The assistant will also support the firm's paralegal with administrative tasks. Please include a cover letter when applying for this job. Pay range is $13-$15 per hour, depending on experience.

Responsibilities and Duties

  • Answering phones
  • Drafting correspondence
  • Managing firm's calendar
  • Scanning/copying documents
  • Filing court documents with superior court
  • Document review
  • Tracking fees and costs related to client matters
  • Preparing and sending out monthly client invoices
  • Paying and logging office expenses/invoices
  • Maintaining office supplies
  • General oversight of the office’s day-to-day tasks

Qualifications and Skills

  • High School Diploma or GED required
  • 2 + years of college eduction
  • 1 year of previous office experience
  • Superior computer skills, specifically with Microsoft Suite Office and Google Drive
  • Valid driver’s license and automobile insurance
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, organizational, and administrative skills
  • Meticulous attention to detail
  • Strong writing skills
  • Must have ability to prioritize tasks
