Job Overview:
A law firm seeks a passionate and experienced Litigation Associate Attorney to join its team. This role is ideal for someone dedicated to changing the way personal injury cases are approached, with a focus on client advocacy and justice. This position allows for flexibility, with the option to work remotely or in the office. The ideal candidate will bring at least three years of hands-on trial and litigation experience in personal injury law, and a deep commitment to providing exceptional service to clients.
Duties:
- Collect and review key evidence such as insurance policies, medical records, and expenses relevant to each case.
- Conduct legal research on case law, focusing on premises liability and other personal injury matters.
- Investigate potential personal injury claims and offer legal counsel to prospective clients.
- Represent clients in hearings, trials, mediations, depositions, and other litigation-related activities.
- Supervise and manage a team of legal assistants, paralegals, case managers, and support staff.
- Communicate with clients, expert witnesses, medical providers, insurance adjusters, and other parties to gather essential case information.
- Prepare and draft legal documents, including motions, pleadings, and discovery.
- Work to ensure each case reaches its maximum potential, focused on delivering justice and fair compensation for clients.
Requirements:
- Minimum of 3 years of successful personal injury litigation and trial experience.
- Strong legal research and writing skills.
- Proven track record of handling case files from start to finish in personal injury cases.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills for interaction with clients, colleagues, and other legal professionals.
- Ability to work independently and manage a caseload effectively.
- Proven ability to represent clients at hearings, depositions, and in court settings.
- Ability to collaborate and lead a team of legal professionals.
Education:
- Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school.
Certifications:
- Licensed to practice law in the relevant jurisdiction (State Bar Admission required).
Skills:
- Strong case investigation and legal research skills.
- Expertise in managing personal injury cases, including complex litigation matters.
- Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Ability to handle sensitive and confidential client information with discretion.
- Strong leadership skills, with the ability to guide and supervise legal support staff.
- Familiarity with case management and legal billing software is a plus.
