Litigation Paralegal (Hybrid) Candidate will assist attorneys through the performance of complex secretarial/administrative duties. Will assist lawyers throughout all phases of litigation including pre-trial investigation, trial preparation, and post-trial appeals by preparing legal documents such as discovery, briefs, pleadings, and appeals for review, approval, and use by lawyer. Qualifications: Associate s degree or equivalent preferred. 2+ years of experience in a litigation support role in a law firm or corporate legal department environment, proficiency in MS Word 2010 and use of dictation equipment, and 50 wpm typing is required. Additional experience in the area of torts and products liability is a plus. Knowledge of legal terminology and the legal process, excellent secretarial skills, and knowledge of grammar, spelling, basic math, and punctuation. Must be proficient in scheduling meetings and managing calendars, including sending invitations and reminders when needed; making and/or changing travel arrangements; opening, organizing, managing, and closing files; drafting correspondence; and typing and formatting legal documents. Must be highly organized, detail-orientated, proactive, and a team player who will take ownership and become familiar with clients, cases, and files.
