Profile

Business Immigration Paralegal
The candidate will be responsible for preparation and filing of petitions, nonimmigrant visa applications and immigrant visa applications. Compile and analyze case facts, draft correspondence, maintain and organize client documentation and have direct contact with employees and client contacts. Work under the direct supervision of attorneys and senior paralegals but will be expected to work independently as well. Responsible for informing their team of attorneys and senior paralegals of upcoming deadlines specific to their clients’ immigration cases. Bachelor’s degree from a four-year college or university, or a paralegal certificate from an ABA approved program, is preferred. Employment-based immigration paralegal experience is preferred. Should have strong proficiency with MS Word, Outlook, INS Zoom, and a document management system. Outstanding case/project management and organizational skills are required.

I would like to see better management put into place so that the work load is better balanced throughout the weeks and the months. This way there is always work to be done without being overwhelmed.

Pros : The starting pay is excellent and the benefits (such as 401K) are top notch. I also found everyone to be very helpful and the work environment was very laid back.
Cons : The overall work load on a day to day basis had too much variance. On some days I would have to work well past my normal hours into the night. During other day's I was left with nothing to do.
