Job Overview:
A prominent law firm in Austin, TX is actively seeking a Family Law Associate Attorney. This role offers an exciting opportunity to engage in a wide variety of family law cases, including divorce, child custody, child support, pre-nuptial and post-nuptial agreements, and other related matters. The associate will be tasked with managing a diverse caseload, representing clients in court, conducting legal research, drafting documents, negotiating settlements, and maintaining consistent communication with clients.

Duties:

  • Handle and manage a variety of family law cases, including divorce, child custody, child support, and prenuptial/postnuptial agreements.
  • Represent clients in court hearings and proceedings.
  • Conduct legal research and prepare legal documents such as motions, pleadings, and settlement agreements.
  • Participate in settlement negotiations and work to resolve disputes in a timely and efficient manner.
  • Communicate regularly with clients, providing case updates and legal guidance.
  • Ensure all casework is conducted in compliance with legal standards and regulations.

Requirements:

  • Licensed to practice law in Texas and good standing with the Texas State Bar.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong legal research and writing abilities.
  • Ability to prioritize and manage multiple cases simultaneously.
  • Proven track record of handling confidential and sensitive information with discretion.
  • Professional, client-focused demeanor.
  • Demonstrated ability to work both independently and as part of a collaborative team.

Education:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.

Certifications:

  • Admission to the Texas State Bar.
