Command Post Specialist
Duties: The candidate will be responsible for Command and Control Operations (C2OP) and mission monitoring. Will analyze and evaluate unit requirements and functions in support of the unit commander and staff as it relates to command and control under contingency and peacetime operations. Receive, analyze, decipher and take action on time critical HHQ alert messages as it relates to air base defense, sabotage, acts of war, posturing of forces and natural disasters. Receive, analyze and disseminate C2 message traffic to appropriate wing agencies. Assist with the management and control of facilities, equipment and supplies. Assist with maintaining publications and forms library.

Qualification and Experience

Qualifications: The candidate must have 1 year (52 weeks) of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-07 grade level or equivalent in the Federal service that has given particular knowledge, skills, and abilities required to successfully perform the duties of the position.

Substitution of Education for experience: A Master's or equivalent graduate degree or 2 full academic years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to such a degree or LL.B. or J.D. degree.
Combining Experience and Education: Equivalent combinations or successfully completed education and experience may be used to meet the experience requirements.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities: Knowledge of command and control operational reporting, mission monitoring, and emergency actions. Knowledge of security instructions, practices and procedures. Ability to research, collect, analyze, organize, and prepare data. Knowledge of federal and civilian disaster response agencies.
