Growing firm seeks Entry Level Tax Attorney. Qualified candidates possess strong knowledge of tax laws and issues including federal and state income, employment, international, tax controversy and tax procedure, sales and use tax, tax-exempt and international tax. The position requires ability to write comprehensive letters that require little to no revisions. Attorneys must meet deadlines, meet minimum billable hours requirements, keep accurate records, follow directions and develop plans to solve financial issues that affect his or her clients. Attorneys will be responsible for a number of different tasks including: Keeping confidential records and tax information for clients Understanding finance and accounting principles Communicating and negotiating with federal, state and local government Evaluating and assessing complicated tax issues Researching and analyzing federal and state laws This position calls for a self-starter and independent thinker who is a team player and collaborator.
