Duties

• Draft and finalize legal documents, including divorce petitions, child custody agreements, and prenuptial agreements.
• Represent clients in court proceedings, mediations, and negotiations involving family law issues.
• Handle sensitive cases such as child custody disputes, domestic violence matters, and allegations of abuse.
• Prepare clients for hearings, depositions, and trials, ensuring they understand each step of the process.
• Conduct thorough legal research and craft tailored case strategies.
• Maintain consistent communication with clients to provide updates and address concerns.
• Utilize case management software to manage case details and deadlines efficiently.

Requirements

• Minimum of 5 years of family law experience, with a strong understanding of Texas family law statutes.
• Demonstrated expertise in handling high-stakes cases involving child custody, support, and divorce.
• Proven ability to negotiate and litigate effectively in family law settings.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Superior written and verbal communication abilities.
• Proficiency in legal research tools, case management systems (., MyCase, CLIO), and Microsoft Office Suite.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.

Education

• Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
• Active membership in good standing with the State Bar of Texas.

Certifications

• Texas Bar licensure is required.
