Attorney - Supervision, Credit Risk and Statistics Duties: Supports supervision activities by providing interpretative guidance in matters concerning the Bank Holding Company Act, Federal Reserve Act, Change in Bank Control Act, International Banking Act, Home Owners Loan Act, including advice related to Regulations H, L, O, and W as well as through participation in examinations, meetings, and other proceedings. Supports applications activities by providing interpretation and guidance in matters concerning financial institution laws and implementing regulations, including Regulations H, K, Y, LL, and MM to examiners, applicants and their counsel. Supports statistics and analysis activities related to reporting of reserves, transactions with affiliates, and legal authority for acquisitions. Supports enforcement activities through assistance in the drafting of supervisory actions and the subsequent presentation of such actions to supervised banking institutions. Provides guidance to the management and boards of directors of supervised institutions in an accurate, clear and concise manner. In addition, demonstrate the ability to clearly articulate, in writing and orally, the corrective actions required of an institution‘s management and board of directors. Supports training activities through review and explanation of changes in laws, regulations and Board of Governor’s policies to applications and examination staff. Stays informed of current legislative, judicial and regulatory developments by reviewing periodicals and attending seminars and other training as available. Performs other duties as assigned or requested. Adheres to the Bank‘s attendance policies through regular and prompt attendance.
Qualification and Experience
Qualifications: JD Degree. Licensed to practice law in State of Ohio. 3+ years of related work experience. Legal experience in Finance or Accounting is a plus. Intermediate knowledge of regulations, procedures and practices of a specific discipline- Banking Law. Intermediate knowledge of project management. Basic knowledge of Microsoft Office. Intermediate ability to perform independent research Skill Areas. Intermediate problem solving and analytical. Intermediate written and verbal communication. Intermediate public speaking.
