ProfileSenior Commercial Counsel The candidate will work with these business teams to architect new go-to-market strategies for firm, such as enterprise cloud, system integrator relationships, government sales, and post-acquisition integrations. Will negotiate enterprise agreements and related data protection issues with our largest customers. Be the leader and architect of firm’s outbound commercial practice, developing a scalable, business-minded approach to our revenue generating contracts. Assist in structuring new go-to-market strategies and related contracts. Advise internal clients regarding legal and business issues, including identifying, managing, and communicating risks and opportunities associated with specific agreements. Collaborate cross-functionally with firm's risk, privacy, engineering, sales operations, and technical accounting teams on their areas of expertise.
Qualification and Experience
The candidate should have 8+ years of experience in technology transactions, including 4+ years at a top law firm. Experience offering pragmatic, business-minded support and expertise to internal teams that influence the entire organization is essential. Expert knowledge of Cloud/SaaS offerings is essential. Experience structuring, drafting, and negotiating complex commercial agreements is essential. Experience handling privacy and data protection topics in the commercial contract context is essential. Excellent communicator with the ability to influence people across the company is essential. Entrepreneurial mindset with willingness to take on special projects is essential. Must have Juris Doctorate degree with membership in at least one state Bar (preferably CA).
