Fall Internship The intern will be expected to have an interest in the political process, exceptional writing skills, and a professional demeanor and attire. In the district headquarters, interns assist constituent representatives with federal casework, attend town hall meetings and other events, and learn firsthand how a congressional office interacts with the local community. In Washington, interns assist staff by conducting research, writing constituent letters on an array of policy issues, attending briefings and hearings, and administrative tasks such as sorting mail and answering phones. Welcomes applications from students in college, law school, graduate school, or in some instances, senior year of high school. Deadline : 7/ 22/2018.
