Vendor Contract Lead
Duties: Coordinates contract changes (including evaluation, negotiations, contract-management approval, physical update of contract, etc.). Oversees and measures the fulfilment of contractual obligations, including contract terms and conditions, commitments and notifications. Ensures that all terms and conditions of the agreement are satisfied, contractual constructs are fit for purpose and risks are mitigated. Responsible for internal and external communications regarding the Agreement and the Provider relationship. Acts as the key interface between defined client functions and the Provider, ensuring input (e.g. business and compliance requirements) and participation in decision making e.g. review and approval of deliverables or mitigating actions. Uses key performance indicators (KPIs) to monitor and challenge Provider performance and identify opportunities for continuous improvement. Facilitates timely problem resolution of contractual issues to minimize impact of business service disruptions. Develops strategies to address under-performance and compliance failures, including application of contract terms, working closely with legal department to obtain advice and guidance. Develops and implements change management protocols. Identifies where changes are required, evaluates the impact, and advises stakeholders about the implications and consequences for the business and/or the procurement element of programs/projects. Negotiates contract changes and seeks appropriate authorization. Interprets the contract and initiates resulting administrative tasks and updates. Guides development of Contract Management procedures, tools and templates. Guards the commercial relationship with the Provider, including integrity of the pricing schedules and mechanisms and ensure they are fit for purpose.

Qualification and Experience

Requirements: Bachelor degree in Law, Business Studies, IT or Finance. 6+ years relevant work experience. Procurement experience and working with suppliers. Experience managing financials. Contract management experience. Negotiations experience. Experience working with business and service provider senior management. Deep grasp of the contract structure and terms, and the relationship of the services to the business operations they support. Strong written and verbal communication skills. Finance knowledge. Knowledge of Service Level design, mechanics and effective use in driving Provider behavior. Knowledge of the business and IT value generation.
Preferred: MBA. ITIL Foundations Certification.
